The Need for Speed

Speed.  It’s the basis of sport.  Be faster than the competition.  Be faster than you were yesterday.

It’s no coincidence that the Olympic motto is Citius, Altius, Fortius – Latin for Faster, Higher, Stronger, as these are three of the components that help excel in any sport.

In this camp, athletes will learn and participate in specific drills and tasks that will increase their speed, agility and strength over both short and long distances.   Exercises and training principles, mixed with fun and games, will strengthen the overall body resulting in stronger, less injury prone athletes.  With particular emphasis on explosive movement, recovery and core, this camp is suitable for all athletes no matter what their skill level or sport.

  1. Morning Only – Speed and Agility   9:00-12:00      $110
  2. Full Day – Speed, Agility, Strength and Flexibility  9:00-4:00     $200
  3. Full Day – Morning (Speed and Agility), Afternoon (LifeFit Summer Camp)  9:00 – 4:00 $185

Before and After available (7:30-5:30) $5 per day

We believe that the quality of the experience is of the upmost importance. For that reason, all of our staff is fully trained and qualified in their roles. They are certified in first aid, as life guards and in various sports by the National Lifesaving Society and the National Coaching Certification Program of Canada. We use a maximum ratio of 1:8 to ensure that every child receives the attention that they deserve. Our business is fully licensed, permitted and insured and follows the guidelines of SafeKids Canada. The staff is all police screened and we do not utilize high school volunteers. But most of all, we are about introducing youth to physical literacy; “Physical literacy is the motivation, confidence and physical competence that will result in engagement in physical activities for life.” , so that they can enjoy the benefits of being active in whatever sports they chose to do.
