Specialty Camps

We are offering two specialty camps this year – Sports Speed and Strength and Girls Leadership.

Sports Speed and Strength

The Need for Speed

All Sports. All Skill Levels. All Intensities.

Speed.  It’s the basis of sport.  Be faster than the competition.  Be faster than you were yesterday.

It’s no coincidence that the Olympic motto is Citius, Altius, Fortius – Latin for Faster, Higher, Stronger, as these are three of the components that help excel in any sport.

In this camp, athletes will learn and participate in specific drills and tasks that will increase their speed, agility and strength over both short and long distances.   Exercises and training principles, mixed with fun and games, will strengthen the overall body resulting in stronger, less injury prone athletes.  With particular emphasis on explosive movement, recovery and core, this camp is suitable for all athletes no matter what their skill level or sport.

Girls Leadership

This girls only camp will allow girls to explore leadership, team building and problem solving in athletic and fitness situations without the societal pressures that often come from being pre-teen and teen-agers in today’s society.   Be it deciding on the correct strategy to take in an organized game as a group, leading a blindfolded friend with just their voice through the minefield laden obstacle course, or enjoying a fitness class together, there are no expectations.   Role models from sports and business also speak to the camp to help inspire and answer questions on career paths, challenges and anything else that pops into a campers head.

Activities are age appropriate and have the skills and topics built in through games and practical application.
